Newcomers are the lifeblood of our Society! All of us were new at some point in time and had to find our way to the parts of the Society that we love best. We’re here to help you along the way.

Newcomers will often first find the Society at one of our many public demos. These are often held at parks and other public places. There is usually a wide variety of activities to observe and frequently to participate in. The arts & sciences demonstrations very often present hands-on opportunities for both adults and children. The martial activities are usually limited to SCA members for safety reasons, but the fighters are often happy to take time to talk about how to get involved in either armored or rapier fighting.
