Arts & Sciences
The Arts and Sciences of the SCA time period are many and varied! If it was crafted from the death of Queen Elizabeth I back to the earliest recorded histories, someone in the SCA is researching and recreating it!
Examples include but are not limited to: leatherworking, sewing, spinning yarn, knitting, weaving, blacksmithing, calligraphy, illumination, pottery, stained glass, lampworking, wire weaving, dyeing, soap making, casting, woodworking, animal husbandry, farming, beekeeping, brewing, cooking.
Many of the members of our local chapter practice the above arts and sciences. Artisans meet regularly on Tuesdays at Moore Park in Irmo, SC at 6:00 pm. When the weather is particularly hot or cold, the artisans meet at the Starbucks at 1245 Lake Murray Blvd, Irmo, SC 29063.
